Optimizing navigation in a mobile application.

During my semester abroad, I had the opportunity to take a visual prototyping course which further developed my knowledge of digital product design. At the end of the semester we developed a fully functional hi-fidelity prototype to monitor the overall health and status of of the user's plants.

Project Brief

The project brief was based around optimizing the navigation of an app used to monitor plant health through sensors. The application needed to include the initial set up of the plant watering sensor and a way to monitor the plant's health. I created a persona based off the project brief to help me address the user's needs throughout the development of the app.

Navigating through the App

Developing the user flow for the app started with creating low fidelity paper mockups. Shifting to a digital medium, I used Adobe XD to create wireframes to prototype and further develop this initial user flow. Finalizing the wireframe ensured that the app had all the necessary features a user might need.
